YouTube continues to make new moves to attract more customers to use the YouTube Premium service. YouTube Playables just launched globally.
YouTube is rolling out a new feature called Playables, in a new effort to urge users to sign up for Premium paid services. This feature is for desktop computers, allows users to play games without having to download them, is considered an independent part of the YouTube application.
When accessing Playables, Users will see two tabs including Home and Browse. The Home tab will display a list of recently played games and suggest popular titles. While, The Browse tab will allow users to explore and choose the game they want to experience.
All games can be played directly in the app or YouTube website, This utility can be seen as a bright spot YouTube Playables. This will help users easily experience the fastest way.
Present, This feature is only available to those Premium subscription can only be accessed and used because Playables is in beta testing. However, YouTube plans to expand access to Playables in the coming months.
Some of the popular titles that are available on the gaming service are Angry Birds Showdown, Brain Out and Daily Solitaire. YouTube plans to add more games in the future, realizing the library is still relatively light on content.
Estimated as of date 28.3.2024, The foundation's plan is to operate Playables. YouTube will then evaluate the service's performance and make a decision about its future. If Playables is capable of attracting users, it could become Google's long-term investment target.
YouTube isn't the first video streaming service to offer video games to subscribers. Netflix introduced their own arcade video game in January 11.2021, but not much attraction. So, It remains to be seen whether Playables can perform better than Netflix.
